Activation of Forbidden Raman Modes in Black Phosphorus–Metal Oxide Heterostructures
New research investigates how edge-induced symmetry breaking activates forbidden Raman modes in black phosphorus–Cu₂O and black phosphorus–MoO₃ heterostructures. The resulting interfacial coupling improves charge separation and supports high-performance, self-powered photodetection from ultraviolet to near-infrared wavelengths.
