Welcome to UM6P Physics Research, a home for cutting-edge research and technology development. Our research members collaborate with students, postdoctoral fellows, and visiting scholars from all over the world. Additionally, as part of our goal of training a new generation of African physicists and faculty members, we provide our members with a wide array of industry partnerships and interdisciplinary initiatives. Our members mainly engage in experimental and theoretical research on condensed matter physics, but we also have focus areas in medical physics, particle and high energy physics.
A hallmark of research at IAP is the strong collaboration between its members, which is strengthened by shared simulation tools and top-quality experimental efforts. The collective efforts of our research members cover various aspects of modern science, including 2D Materials physics, ultrafast nonlinear spectroscopy, low-temperature quantum transport, photon scattering, ab initio calculations, molecular dynamics, Monte Carlo simulations, Atlas measurement, and more.
