The African Women in Physics (AWP) is a community of undergraduate, graduate, Postdocs, Staff, and Faculty women who support each other through scientific activities, mentorship opportunities, and career development.

The African Women in Physics group benefits the university environment by fostering a diverse and inclusive community.

At the Institute of Applied Physics, we believe that women in physics enrich our university while improving the global climate for women in science and technology. For this reason, our ultimate aims are to foster a spirit of diversity and equity to promote the inclusion of gender minorities in physics.
